Who can tryout for the Academy? The Academy is for all soccer players who are interested in developing their soccer skills under the guidence of some of the most experience soccer coaches in the area. We have boys and girls teams for players at the U8 - U10 age groups. For older teams visit - Placer United Soccer Club.

Where do the Academy teams train? All Academy teams train at Treelake Village Park in Granite Bay.

Why Tryout for the Academy? If you are interested in soccer and want to take your game to the next level, then the Academy is the perfect option for you. The Academy boast a blend of experienced US and European soccer coaches with a background of playing and coaching the game at the highest level. Our dedicated staff of coaches work hard to ensure that every player is continually challenged whilst at the same time having an enjoyable soccer experience.

How much traveling is involved? With the younger teams there is very limited traveling involved. We have worked hard to eliminate as much traveling as we can and reduce the amount of games which are played during the season. This is importnat as many young soccer players are playing way too many competitive games and traveling unnecessary distances to play these games. This results in burn out for many players by the end of the season and financial costs for the parents of these players.

Why would you eliminate games and traveling? The reason we have eliminated a lot of the traveling and competitive games that are played is quite simple. The most important thing for younger players is that they are recieving quality training and coaching on the field to help them develop. The amount of games/tournaments the teams play in is irrelevent and the most important thing is that they are developing their skills on the training field.
